Sculptor Lynn Fraley’s equine creations exude vivid personalities. Her deep respect for anatomy and biomechanics is evident in each piece. Limited editions are available in bronze, resin or ceramic.
Primarily a self-taught sculptor, several key workshops honed Ms. Fraley’s skills and ignited a fascination with anatomy and biomechanics. Her resumé includes the tutelage of Sam Savitt, Veryl Goodnight and Cammie Lundeen; figurative sculpture workshops under Beth Cavener Stichter and Tip Toland; and anatomy workshops with Deb Bennett PhD and the staff of the Zahourek Institute.
Ms Fraley earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Arizona State University. She enjoys balancing the combination of creative and analytical skills that being a full-time artist, ie an entrepreneur, requires.
Also an educator, her private and group workshops have been offered through her own studio, Boise Art Museum and various locations around the United States. Lynn’s students learn about the science of anatomy while enjoying the art of creating sculpture. “I really enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with others through workshops and lectures” says Ms. Fraley, “the bonus is that I always learn something interesting from my audience, we all have experience and insights to share.”
Her sculptures have graced the covers of The Chronicle of the Horse and The Hobby Horse News and are included in private collections in the United States, Europe, Japan and Australia.
