Student Level:
All
Type of Workshop: Project
Prerequisite: None

In this class students will have the opportunity to alter a Mexican tin and glass nicho. We will combine painting techniques with polymer clay to create beautiful aged shrines that have a Mexican folk art/Medieval feel.
We will cover all of my basic polymer clay techniques including stamping, painting, using molds, gold leaf and embedding paper and metal bits into the clay. There is both an exterior and interior space to transform using a variety of cross-over mixed media techniques where students will be given the opportunity to make their own centerpieces using molds and clay.
