In this class we’ll explore a special technique for adding stamped texture to a beautiful brass collar, using silver bearing solder and your favorite stamps, or as I call it, “gilding with solder”.
Come join me for the day, as I demonstrate ways to add great texture to your brass collars and sheet metal, which includes using texture hammers, metal stamps, chisels, punches, and more…along with your torch! And, I’ll share some of my favorite patina options, such as using Gilders Paste.
I believe you will love where the techniques you learn in this class will take you. You will only be limited by your imagination….let’s see how far you can take it!

• Nickel Silver, Brass and/or Copper Sheet Metal, 24 gauge, suggest at least 2 different 6”x12” pieces of your choice
  
• Sterling Silver, Bronze or Copper Wire, (amount will depend on how much wire wrapping you do, possibly 4-5’, 20-22 gauge and 4”-16-18 gauge for a simple hook clasp (or bring a pre-made clasp or hook)
