Type of Workshop: Project
Prerequisite: None

We are going to recreate history with a little bit of sass. Using 50 photos of women from the “Wild West”. We will build our own 3' x 4' flag symbolizing the strength of the women from a time that should not be forgotten. Learn how to add texture to a piece of art without adding a lot of color. This show stopper is a favorite and would be a genuine piece of history to add to your home.

Materials fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
  • 3’x4’ coffee dyed canvas
  • Photo transfers of 50 women prepared and glued for sewing
  • Screw eye hooks and wire for hanging
  • Coffee dyed red and blue ticking
    Instructor will provide:
  • Sewing Machines (bring your own if you are able)
  • Black thread
  • Glue
  • Paint and brushes
  • Heat Guns

    Students should bring:
  • Coordinating coffee dyed fabrics for the white stripe
  • Trim
  • Lace and other cool finds for texture
  • Scissors for fabric
  • An apron (because we are going to get messy)
