Combining pen and ink with watercolor creates an exciting and spectacular look in paintings. In this workshop, Jacqueline will teach you a variety of artistic ways to use watercolor paints with water-soluble and permanent ink pens. You learn how to create big bold letters with a colorful variegated watercolor wash, how to use water-soluble pens with watercolor paints, how to use permanent pens and pen and ink to enhance your watercolor paintings. These techniques are perfect for enhancing your art journals.
Materials fee of $6 payable to Instructor at class time includes use of:
Small watercolors palettes for students to use so if you do not have paints don't feel like you have to spend a lot of money to invest in them.
Artist tape
Glaze pens Colored markers
Water-soluble pens
Sakura 3D pen
Students should bring:Your watercolor supplies, if you have them, including your watercolor paints, palette and brushes or consider my Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolor Jacqueline Newbold Traveling Kit. Here are a few of the colors I recommend if you do not have the kit: new gamboge, hansa yellow, Winsor red, permanent rose, phthalo blue, and cerulean blue.
