This is an exciting new class that merges collage, painting, and photography to create unique works of art using digital photos printed on paint skins or other unusual surfaces. Learn to layer paint, papers and photos, taking advantage of the transparency of gel skins and the properties of other unique materials such as aluminum foil to develop unique one-of –kind images. Each student will be provided with a minimum of 3 photo skins from the instructor’s personal resources. These skins will be utilized in the compositions along with Fluid acrylics, molding pastes, other acrylic products, decorative papers and ephemera. Additional instruction will be provided to show students how to create and prepare their own paint skins and specialty surfaces for printing on their inkjet printers at home. Golden Artist Color Samples will be provided

Students should bring:

Students need only bring 3 canvas boards sized 11x14 or smaller

a small baggie of special papers and paper treasures

All other materials will be provided by the instructor
