In this class I will be teaching you how to create a collage (approximately 8 1/2 " x11", size of image 6" x 5"). We start out with a piece of fabric and on top of that watercolor paper and joint compound. I supply you with a head drawing to be transferred onto the collage. If you want to draw your own face, you can do that instead. I demonstrate how to shade the face with re inkers and white acrylic paint. Another added layer is with acrylic washes. I also will have some images to use for fanciful headdresses that can be transferred onto the face image and embellished.. It's truly a mixed media class because we will be using reinkers, acrylics, pastels, gesso and charcoal to paint with.

Materials fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
  • 1/4" angular brush
  • 2" utility brush
  • watercolor paper
    and the use of:
  • Adirondack re inkers-pesto and eggplant
  • craft paints

  • pastels

  • I will have ephemera with me, but feel free to bring images that are personal and of interest to you.
