Trees are an essential part of the ecology of planet Earth. Artists have depicted trees in their work for centuries. In this workshop, our trees will be abstracted in their shape and colors. Emphasis will be placed on the tonal relationships of dark on light, and light on dark. Carol will demo several techniques she uses for her fantastic tree paintings.  You will make bark-like trunks with molding paste, fantastic foliage with course pumice gel and crackle paste, and you will use a variety of papers to add texture, and create vibrant, colorful landscapes.
