Clarissa Callesen is a former Rodeo Princess that left behind her cowboy boots and tiara for the wild adventure of life as an artist. She has been fortunate enough to work all of her adult as a self employed artist. Clarissa is inspired by small details and evidence of time, religious imagery and symbolism, rusty things and peeling paint. She is a compulsive collector of life’s flotsam and jetsam and is doing her best to live a passionate authentic creative life.
She exhibits throughout the Pacific Northwest at art festivals and selective galleries. She has been published in Linda and Opie O’Brien’s book, Who’s Your DADA?
