Living Your Questions Now: Finding Ones Joy through Painting and Writing

Join me for a one-day retreat to dive into your life stories, poems and dreams that express your truth in your own voice. We all will explore what our lives are showing us, how painting and writing in community helps us hear each other and ourselves. Throughout the ages, the experience of making art has helped people to function, bring beauty, enlightenment to their lives and also illuminating their journey towards wholeness. The process utilizes both hemispheres of our brain, enabling us to better access innate channels of healing, insight and joy.

Join me for this cutting edge course designed to teach you skills for discovering your basic talents to create a thousand images with one word and a thousand words with one image. Through visual and verbal prompts we will dance, sing and laugh with our brushes and pens. You will learn new techniques of layering images and words. You will be given powerful techniques to universally connect those verbal and visual images with your inner truth so you can touch others. You will go beyond just copying someone else’s techniques and making them yours. You will be given a universal creative formula that all creative people use, but many times only subconsciously. The creative formula will insure that your work is as unique as you are. Creative thinking is your birthright as was critical thinking in school.

You will create a visual and verbal journal using prompts from literature, visual art and life. Universal design techniques that fit both visual and verbal will be discussed. You will be given two large canvases and material to construct a journal or a combination journal and painting. You will be asked to bring a small object that can be held in your hand. An object that is visually intriguing and important to you.

Materials fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
