Fun with Resins introduces a fast, flexible water-clear urethane. Unlike other epoxy based resin it does not smell, will not become brittle and allows scissor cutting of coated pages for collage and 3-D applications. You will be making a resin ring to show embedding objects in resin. Explore the possiblilities of making canvas board book covers and flexible pages or fabric.
Transform your delicate ephemera into sturdy glazed items for use in your artwork or journal. This material can also be used in bezels, jewelery, covering sculpture, shrines, assemblages, mosaics etc.
Kit Fee of $40 payable to Instructors at class time includes:
- brushes
- cover book boards
- resin, cups, etc.
- all disposables
- epoxy
- ring
- some objects for making book cover
- glues
- tape
Students should bring:
- any special paper that you want to resin
- any particular ephemera, objects for your resin book covers
- any special fabric that you want to apply resin
