Add a new dimension to copper without breaking your budget! From copper piping, wire and enamel we will create a vibrant bracelet. In this class we will touch on torch fired enamel, sawing, and shaping techniques. Additional materials and tools may be purchased from instructor. Students will complete project.
Kit fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
- copper pipe
- copper wire
- two colors of enamel
- saw blades
Instructor will provide:- Torches to share
- Enamel tools to share
- 3-5 torching stations will set be up
- Pickle and pickle pot
Students should bring:
- #2 paint brush
- #5 paint brush
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Side Cutters
- Metal Files (not diamond coated)
- Leather/Rawhide mallet
- Jeweler’s saw
- Bench block or anvil
- Cross locking tweezers or a helping hand
- Paraffin, cut lube, or bur life
- Sharpie
- Ruler
- Vice
- Steel Oval Bracelet mandrel (one will be provided to share)
Optional:- Magnifying glasses and Ott light as needed
- Chasing hammer
- Tube cutting pliers
