This is the ultimate crackle class and you will learn how to layer many techniques into one finished project. There are more ways than you can imagine to achieve the beautiful crackle effects everyone loves. This class will cover so many ways to get cracked up and the whys, whens, and how-tos will fill your toolbox with just the right ones for that perfect touch. Clear crackle, porcelain crackle, absorbent cracks and color layers with cracks will fill your head with visions of delight. We will also create a finished painting utilizing surface textures, crackles and a transfer. You will stencil with crackle, use in layers and of course add some glazes and textures. This is one action packed class you won’t want to miss.
Kit fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
- Clear, porcelain, absorbent and random crackle products
- adhesives
- water slide transfer
- light molding paste
- acrylic glazing fluid
- polymer medium.
Supplies provided by Instructor for use during workshop include:
- collage materials
- various texture tools and materials
- images for transfers
- stencils
Student should bring:
- container for water
- several colors plus black and white fluid acrylic paints, can be craft or artist grade
- cheap nylon brushes 1”
- stepped handle palette knife
- spray bottle of water
- pencil
- scissors
- paper towels
- 2-3 Ampersand gessoboard or similar rigid supports in small size like 8x8 or 8x10
