Join Phoenix fashion blogger, Hannah Hayes, and local book artist, Kathie Shepherd, as we take you on a virtual tour of the city of light. We are getting off the plane on our trip from here to there with a 6 hour layover in Paris. Only 6 hours? What will we see and do? This is a virtual trip to Paris in which you will experience the sights, have some Parisian snacks, make your travel journal and fill it. We will make our travel journal with an easy sewn binding with beads, easily decorated with additional charms, ribbons, etc. There will be demonstrations on transfers as well, with a technique which may be new to you. You will also have an opportunity to “shop” at our Paris flea market for items to add to your journal. And of course, journal prompts to help you add some virtual memories of your trip.
Supplies provided by Instructors: all materials needed to make the book and fill it with your travel ephemera
Students should bring:
- Any Parisian or French ephemera you may already have from a real trip to Paris that you may want to add to your journal
- Favorite journaling pens, colored pencils, markers for journaling
