Annie Lockhart
Annie Lockhart is a self-taught, mixed-media assemblage artist…among other things! She has been gathering and collecting her ‘words’ since she was a little girl in Texas. Annie loves exploring the stories and recording memories from her layers of life, or from those who came before. She has had the pleasure of teaching at artists retreats for the past several years with a focus on making heart and soul connections through the use of symbolism, memories and metaphors. Her first book was released February 2010 with North Light, titled Objects of Reflection…a soulful journey through assemblage. She has also had her work and writings featured in several national magazines, and has been honored to sell her work at top juried art shows.
