Kristine Kollasch

Kristine Kollasch’s work spans the line between painting and sculpture through both a textural approach to painting and a colorful approach to sculpture. Textures, color, contrast and cohesiveness are characteristics found in all mediums chosen for a particular work of art. Real texture and perceived texture co mingle creating works that are intriguing to both the eye and the fingertips.

Kristine found her home here in Phoenix over 25 years ago and was fortunate to land a job with a local design and fabrication firm in January of 1985. There she learned how to read blueprints, build architectural scale models, and gained a vast knowledge of different materials ranging from foams to fiber optics. As she grew with the company Kris also gained many important management skills and people skills that have helped her to market herself as an artist.

Currently she is self employed as an artist, utilizing her knowledge and fabrication skills in welding, clay, wood working and painting, but primarily her passion is expressed in color. She creates her studio work for a national audience with gallery shows from California to Virginia, and patrons of her many places in between. She also has a business creating themed environments and murals, working primarily in the pediatric medical and dental industry, but also creates custom art and murals for residential environments as well as personalized Commissioned work. Check out her website to find out where you can see more of her work or contact her to discuss creating something especially for you.
