For the last 36 years I have been an art teacher and professional artist. I am presently The Program Director of Artist in Residence for The Center For Expressive Arts. A non-profit organization (501-c3) fostering a sense of hope for patients with complex illnesses through creative expression. Although I have taught at 5 universities and colleges, much of my experience and passion is in helping the non-traditional students to learn or relearn to access the mental functions associated with art.
After personally working with approximately 10,000 people over the years I have come to the conclusion that almost everyone has the capability to personally experience the essence of art in their lives.
