Steampunk is a hot style trend and in this class we’ll create unique Steampunk charms, pendants and bobby pins objects by combining bits of the past with modern industrial bits and bobs. We’ll also work a with UV resin. Students are encouraged to bring an assortment of objects to incorporate into their own Steampunk pendants, charms and hair ornaments.
Kit Fee of $10 payable to Instructor at class time includes: a number of blank bobby pins, assorted watch parts and collage elements, mod podge, UV resin, sand paper
Supplies Provided by Teacher: Paper towels, assorted collage elements, toothpicks, plates for adhesives, brushes for glue, UV light (students are welcome to bring their own if they have one)
Supply List:
- Basic craft kit (scissors, pencil, sharpie)
- Devcon 5min Quick Set Epoxy (syringe type)
- Small filigree pieces
- Broken jewelry, rhinestones, watch parts, gears, watch faces, cogs, small keys, finishing washers, etc….
- Jump rings,
- Vintage paper bits
- Small metal studs, etc..
Optional: Full apron strongly encouraged; baby wipes, tiny photos, tiny lockets, more doodads and whatnots to trade with classmates.
