This will be a project workshop where students will learn a variety of methods for creating a multi- layered mixed media painting by creating their own Heart ART . We will explore methods including the use of stencils with both plaster and paint, embed paper images and objects, glazing with various acrylic mediums, different painting and mark making techniques, textures, clear coats and other fun tricks.
Extra Kits will be available for those over achievers who may want to create more than one work simultaneously.
Kit Fee of $25 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
8”x8” canvas board
6”x6” Canvas Board
One black artist pen
Journal for notetaking
Paint towelSupplies provided by Instructor include: Stencils to use, Sand paper, Acrylic paints, gel medium, Clear coat, Exacto knives, Scissors, Water contatiners, Magazines for images
Supply List:
- A variety of paint brushes (including a 1-1 ½” chip brush or soft brush)
- Small Collage elements (good color copies, fabrics, patterned papers, thin-flat objects)
- Paint marker or pastels (one or two is fine)
