Type of Workshop: Process and Project

We’ll be exploring both sides of our creative selves in this fun and exciting class! During the first half of class we’ll let our wild and crazy impulsive and extravagant painting selves loose to explore lots of expressionist techniques on canvas. We’ll go color crazy, learn to mix, bleed, blend, and create loose shapes and spaces. In the middle we will breathe and relax while we contemplate our quiet more reflective side preparing ourselves to move into the next phase! Once we are fully relaxed and have found our place of quiet we will revisit our wild and crazy canvas to see how to harness its energy through thoughtful and controlled glazing techniques! We will end with stenciling, penciling, and words of inspiration! Your work will never be the same after you enjoy getting to know both sides of your brain!

You will make a work of art that is the work of both your brain and your heart! Free Golden Samples.

Supplies supplied by Instructor for use in workshop: Paints, stencils, tools, brushes, etc.

Supply List: 2 (or more if you are ambitious) 12 x 12 canvases or canvas boards (that’s all folks)
