Meeting Our Other Selves: Exploring Our Subpersonalities Sunday 9:00 - 4:30 $125

Type of Workshop: Process

Do you ever wonder why you do some of the things you do? Ever say, "There's a part of me that wants . . .” or "There's a part of me that won't let me . . . "? Those "parts" are very real, functioning pieces of us, our subpersonalities. No, that doesn't make us schizophrenic. We're supposed to have subpersonalities! They work at cross-purposes sometimes, and some of them are so hidden they can only make themselves known by their disruption. But they also contribute to our creative activities, and when they are in balance, they can work together to enhance our lives, day by day.

Discovering our subpersonalities is an illuminating activity, and it can be fun as well! Through some short exercises we will begin to identify these subs, explore them, create our "Subpersonality Mandala" on paper and get to know our selves in a new and different light.

This is an excellent way to get more out of your journal writing, art-making, and the exploration of your creative path.

Supplies Provided by Instructor: Handouts, large paper and simple creative materials with which to make our Mandalas.

    Supply List:
  • A journal or sketch book, preferably unlined and at least 7x9 in size
  • some favorite pens - if your favorite brand of pen comes in colors, I encourage you to bring a few

NOTE: You may purchase a journal from the instructor at the time of the workshop if you don’t have one of your own.
