Journaling in Wax Sunday 9:00 - 4:30 $130
  Patricia Seggebruch

Student Level:
Intermediate to Advanced, anyone who has taken the jump into encaustics
Type of Workshop: Process and Project

For over three years now I have been using the medium of encaustic to follow my hearts musings. Through the use of image transfer, letter punches, word and number inclusion, collage layering and textural expression beeswax has become my paper and the paint brush my pen! Come join me in creating stand alone, or multiple storied paintings in encaustic that will reflect, dissect and express your own voice and inner musing~

The workshop will begin with demonstration in basic encaustic techniques followed by time to become comfortable painting in wax. From here all participants will indulge in numerous techniques as Patricia demonstrates then assists students through their own projects in wax journaling.

Kit fee of $10.00 payable to Instructor at class time includes: Beeswax, damar, encaustic colors, latex gloves, wax paper, paper towel

Supplies provided by Instructor: some collage papers, one clayboard per student and use of Instructor's oil paint, Heating palette/gun, incising tools, image transfers, brushes

    Supply List:
