Creating Containers and Hollow Forms Wednesday 9:00 - 4:30 $130
  Susan Lenart Kazmer

Student Level:
All
Type of Workshop: Process and Project

Build distinctive personal metal structures in a jewelry art form that is reminiscent of past cultures. In India, these forms are meant to hold special prayers, goals or messages and bring them to fruition. As an American artist, I construct these forms using an array of fabricated metal, wire and found objects.

Cold connection techniques include drawing a bead for attachment, cold knots, dimensional rivets and alternative cold join forms. Learn an array of new ideas, structures and tools. Build two jewelry containers and more as time allows.

*Optional Kit fee of $36 payable to Instructor at class time includes: silver round bezel, transparent paper forms, 18 gauge silver wire for ring form, sheet metal, copper wire rivets and expendables.

*For those students who do not wish to purchase the Optional kit, email Instructor for specific itemized list of items that you must bring to class in place of the kit.
