Quinn McDonald was born a writer, which she tried to ignore until she was 10. She then gave into the inevitable, and spent the next several decades writing ads, marketing copy, a book, working as a journalist for a newspaper and keeping journals. She needed to keep her hands busy(er), so she grew plants, hand-pounded them into fiber and made paper. She took a detour into jewelry-making and designed and fabricated jewelry for 15 years, selling it at art shows on the East Coast and Mid-West. But the journals wouldn't leave her alone. She returned to writing and teaching others the obsessive joy of journal-keeping. She is a life- and creativity coach and teaches raw-art-journaling, a way for journal-keepers who can't draw to keep art journals.
