Using stamps, hot glue and other adhesives, find new ways to apply gold foil for stunning effects on cards and art work. This highly experimental class will cover innovative techniques for applying metal to paper. Some media include acrylic gel medium, PVA glue, acrylic gloss medium, and lots of new ideas to try. Participants will use a wide range of papers, including dark papers, to maximize contrast. Students will complete a sample book of all the techniques tried in class.

$7 kit fee payable to instructor at class time which includes one quarter sheet of the following papers: Arches 90 lb Hot Press watercolor paper, Arches cover black, German Ingres in dark colors; a small piece of glassine and tracing paper.
Supply List: 1 soft bristle paintbrush, e-xacto knife, sailor glue pen, tweezers, small sharp scissors, small paint brushes, Hot glue gun, glue sticks, embossing heat tool, embossing powders, Pearl-ex powders, any metal foils that you already have, double-sided tape, rubber stamps with bold patterns, texture combs
