Student level: beginner to intermediate.
Learn and play with several texture and pattern techniques on paper. You’ll try your hands on paste paper, resist, stenciling, dry brushing, and many other techniques using acrylic and water color paint as well as some unusual tools supplied by the instructor. Using your colorfully textured papers you’ll create some original art work, and you’ll have plenty of paper and inspiration to take home to use in future mixed media art.
Instructor will supply additional paints and paper, chunky rubber stamps and lots of unusual tools
Supply List:
5 small bottles of different color acrylic paint
2 different colors of liquid water color
4-6 white and colored wax crayons
2-3 1" foam brushes, 2-3 any size regular paint brushes
Scissors
2 big glue sticks
25 sheets white and colored computer/copy papers (at least 8.5x11)
Medium size water container
3-4 heavy art paper (for support) approx. 11"x17"
Optional: “chunky” rubber stamps, paper towels, disposable gloves and apron
