| Type of Workshop: Process |
Art is a process and journey of creation.
In this workshop we will work fast on a piece to achieve a great fresh painting without anxiety or stress. Part of the journey is in the evolution of the work itself. We will work on a portrait in three stages. We begin by transferring our image to canvas.
We continue the process with layering and texture, finishing the piece with embellishments. A two dimensional piece becomes more dimensional. Come ready with a thumbnail keeping in mind we will not be working on a realistic piece. If you need a jump start a thumbnail/rough draft illustration will be provided.
The class is just a beginning into your own personal journey with texture and layering. We will experiment with several techniques to incorporate in your own personal artwork.
Storytelling and self-awareness are welcome.
