Take soldering to another step. This is a great class for those of you who want to experiment with soldering outside of the jewelry box. This workshop is full of great techniques. You will learn basic glass cutting. I will walk you through basic soldering steps that can be applied to numerous projects. We will use scalloped copper tape for a decorative soldered edge. I will show you how to make your own jump rings. You will also learn a simple and easy way to attach jump rings with soldered. The journal is bound by leather and the signatures are attached using a basic pamphlet stitch. We will add a touch of sparkle by adding glass beads to the jump rings

Kit fee of $25.00 payable to instructor at class time includes: Glass cut to size, Aluminum siding cut to size and pierced , Book board cut to size pierced, Interior book pages cut to size (watercolor paper), Leather binding, Eyelets, Waxed linen thread, Glass beads, Jump rings, Wire to make findings , Our Lady of Guadalupe image for under the glass (if students want to supply their own image, it has to be ready to go prior to class - email me for size and specifications)

Supplies provided by Instructor: Soldering iron - one per student, Solder, Flux and flux brush, Scalloped copper tape, Pounding block , Small hammer, Clamps large and small, Sanding blocks, Drill and 1/16 inch drill bit, Paper to cover inside and outside of book board, Wire cutters, Makeup sponges

Supply list:
Basic tool kit: Pencil, X-acto Knife w/ extra blades, Scissors, Glue Stick, Metal Ruler, Bone Folder, Baby Wipes, Cutting Surface and a few of your favorite stamps and ink pads (black and amber brown)
