Picture a Window; A Glimpse in Time $130
Katie Kendrick
Student Level: Suitable for all levels
Type of Workshop: Project

Spend the day meeting some of the quirky neighbors living in the personal neighborhood of your mind and heart. Using a variety of media and techniques, combined with bits of flotsam and jetsam, we will create two 3-dimensional mixed media wall pieces. The artwork will incorporate your personal and original paintings, collage, and drawings onto a textured surface with a built-in window. Using wire, gel medium, wax linen, or wax, we will adhere additional elements to give the pieces dimension and character, then finish off them with a generous coating of aromatic beeswax. Students will leave with two completed or nearly completed pieces.

Kit Fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class time includes: two stretched canvases, doll parts, doo-dads, text and collage paper scraps, cheesecloth, paint pallet, misc. ephemera, as well as use of instructor's supplies including gesso, acrylic paints, gel medium, molding paste, oil pastels, and beeswax
