This 6 hour workshop will be presented in two 3-hour sessions, Monday & Tuesday mornings.
Students will create a gallery quality book portfolio. The book, when finished, will consist of a decorative cover containing several page pockets holding removable mixed-media, posable and/or standing Art Dolls. Students will learn visual and structural requirements for successful Art Dolls, articulation, creating with paper clay, adornment using found and natural materials, designing original decorative papers and proper adhesives choices for different materials. Art Dolls can be incorporated into almost any art project; incredible cards, altered books, collage and wall art.
Supplies provided by instructors include: ALL materials to create a Divine Art Doll Portfolio. Materials include, but are not limited to: Choice of prefabricated, unadorned portfolio book, board and papers to construct dolls, paper clay for faces, hands and embellishments, wood dowling, use of original molds, decorative papers and adhesives. Other decorative materials supplied are: metal, wire, fabric, yarn, beads, leather, paint and miscellaneous matter.
