Have you ever seen a Master's work and wanted it for your own? In this project class you can have that Master's work.your way! We will create a Master's piece on canvas with a twist. By using a combined collage and mixed media format you will learn to combine the elements of paint, paper, design and form. This will teach you to create a cohesive flow from your chosen Master's work to an altered Master's work of art you will be proud to call your own. It will be a one of a kind piece that will please you and make your friend's marvel. In this project workshop you will learn color placement, collage design of hard and soft materials, adding paint where required and balance of design movement in your overall final canvas. You will be able to use the techniques you learn in this class for your background papers, altered books and any creative project you may choose.
Supply Fee of $5 payable to instructor at class time includes: Collage Materials, Heat Guns, Brushes, Glue, Hard Collage Materials, Copper Leaf, Gold Leaf, Silver Leaf, Copper and Gold Leaf Adhesive, Black Dimensional Paint, Paints, Embellishments, Water cups and carriers
Supply List:
-One or more: 5" x 7" Monet Masterwrap Cotton Canvas with 1" deep sides. This could be in any brand you desire with the proper side dimensions.-One or more: Color copy of a Master's work of art that you love. You will need the picture smaller than 5" x 7". Reduce to 4" x 5" or 4 "x 6" or to size you would like.
-Collage materials in the colors of the Master's work you choose. I will provide magazines for your use. ---Please bring along specialty papers for your work that you particularly like.
-Any dimensional paint in the colors you would like to outline your piece with, I will provide black.
-Golden Gel Soft Medium (Matte)
-Embellishment pieces for your finished collage.buttons, coins, broken jewelry, fibers, what you love and want to see in your piece. These should be small and light in weight.
-Water carrier , I will provide several plastic water holders for each table.
-An old brush to apply your gel medium
-Paints to coordinate with the Master's picture you've chosen.
-Mulberry paper in 2 shades to coordinate with your Master's picture.
