| Student Level: All levels | |
| Type of workshop: Process and Project |
This is a 6 hour workshop taught in two 3 hour evenings.
In this Project workshop, we'll briefly discuss some art history relevant to my process/style and artists that have influenced and inspired me. Learn the basic concepts of composition, such as balance, contrast, line, rhythm, focal point, repetition, and their importance. Examples of my artwork that illustrate these concepts will be shown. Techniques that will be covered include gel transfers, stenciling with plaster, texturing with various media and tools, and various collage techniques. I will also share my unique art making process and will guide and encourage you to approach your own art making from a deeper, more intuitive place. You will have an opportunity to create an art piece guided by this process and using the techniques listed.
