Explore the art of resin jewelry; learn how to use resin to cast dimensional pieces using purchased and handmade molds. This class will include a demonstration of how to make your own molds and how to cast multiple resin pieces using the same mold. Learn how to change the properties of the resin using fillers, pigments, small inclusions and dyes to give a variety of effects, everything from faux stone to layered transparent designs. You will also learn techniques to achieve a professional finish for your cast resin charms.
Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes: Molds for resin casting, resin, colorants, inclusions, finishing supplies, gloves, dust mask, Mod Podge

Apron or old shirt to protect clothing
small paint brush for Mod Podge glue
collage images (paper)
inclusions such as glitter, small objects to add to resin (optional)
