Buckle up for a fast paced, fun-filled class that includes several jewelry making ideas. Learn how to turn an ordinary belt buckle into a very special piece of keepsake jewelry. You will learn to make photo transfers on leather and some new techniques for winding, bending and shaping wire. Then we'll add the image transfer to the buckle to create a unique personalized pendant.
Kit fee of $7 payable to instructor at class time includes: buckle leather, transfer medium, beaded chain, assortment of wire.
Supply list:
-One or more metal belt buckles (We will supply one in your kit but you might wish to choose your own so your photo will fit. Don't choose a buckle with the bar across
the middle of the buckle. See photo.)
-Several toner copies of photos, with good contrast, to fit in the buckle opening.
-Round nose and flat nose pliers
-Wire cutters (heavier workshop tools work well on the heavy wire.)
-Hammer
-Bench block or small anvil
