You will be amazed at what you can do "With These Hands." Work on many levels exploring basic ways of laying down color, blending and unusual mixed techniques for stamp art illustration and free-form expressions. Other media such as Pearl Ex and embossing powders will also be utilized in collaboration with the pastels. Work with soft pastel sticks, pastel trays, and oil pastels. Many experimental exercises will be done where students can tap into their own expressions with color and textures. After completing the exercises, students will work on an illustrative piece incorporating all the techniques they have experimented with.

Supply List :  
White and cream color cardstock (hot press Supplied by instructor)
Soft stick pastel (the more the better)
Q-tips (tortilla stumps optional but helpful)
soft rags
Exacto Knife and cutting mat
Double stick tape or glue stick
Black permanent ink pad
Heat tool (if you have one)
