Wisdom Journal
Date: Saturday, August 28, 2004
Time: 9am - 1pm
Instructor: Roben-Marie Smith
Cost: $65
Roben-Marie has designed a journal she calls: Things I Wish Someone Had Told Me in My Youth and Other Thoughts of Wisdom.
This inspirational journal is all about life and learning and showcases personal thoughts and observations. Students will be able to write in their own thoughts as well. The journal features a gated front opening with a format inside that allows for pages to be viewed three at a time. The story-line is designed so that all pages work together for a journal that flows from one thought to the next. Extra pages will be provided so students can add to their journals on their own. Covers are painted with acrylics and then stained with walnut ink. Pages will be embellished with printed transparencies, printed twill, nail heads, photo turns, spiral easels, ribbons, alphabet charms, printed papers, fabric, index tabs, alligator clips, photos, tags, eyelets and other cool trinkets. Students are encouraged (but not required) to bring a photo of someone who inspired or mentored them in their youth. This class will appeal to all levels. Students will leave with a completed project.
