Create two charming wearable works of art using a unique transfer technique. Each student will fashion two pendants using construction methods for creating bezel set and stand-alone pieces. SA basic millefiori loaf construction to create striped edging will be covered, as mixed media embellishment. If time permits, Lisa will demonstrate additional transfer methods for imaging on clay, while the primary projects are firing.
Skill level : beginning to advanced polymer clay experience
Supply List: Pasta machine with a large "C" clamp, (my pasta machine will be available for use when not being demonstrated with for anyone without a machine that doesn't mind sharing), one block of each: white, and black polymer clay (Kato Poly Clay is recommended, Premo Sculpey is acceptable), a clay blade, 8" x 8" (or larger) smooth ceramic tile, X-acto type craft knife, black dye based ink pad, and baby wipes.
Optional: small charms, beads
Lisa will provide each student with a sterling silver bezel setting, sterling silver eye or head pins, transfers, postal rubber stamps, a baking oven, and handouts.
