Three Sisters Vintage Journal

Class Description: The theme is vintage and the finished 8 1/2 x 11 journal is certainly a keepsake! It will feature an antique-like cover and coordinating key hole plate. Learn to take two large plain mailing envelopes and change them into custom-made string and button envelopes. These envelopes will finish the inside covers for extra pocket space. Multiple pages of various sizes will be folded into one large signature and sewn into the book. Pages will be embellished with lots of vintage photos; paper ephemera; inspiring quotes; pockets and folds. In addition, you will create another book that will be tucked into a creative pocket with a clever fold-out. This class will appeal to all levels. Students will leave with a completed project.

Pencil
Ruler
(2) glue sticks
small book awl or paper piercer (must have)
Adirondack dye inks in Butterscotch and Ginger
small silky sponge
Black dye ink pad
E-6000
wash cloth in a zip lock baggie
1/8" hole punch
script rubber stamp
small personal trimmer
small paper bag for trash
eyelet setter
small hammer and anvil or wooden block.
