Discover the fun of 3-dimensional books. In this workshop we will learn to design and construct panoramic books where scenes are revealed in multi-layered openings that recede into space. Make your thoughts and stories come alive with larger-than-life effects. Get out your paint, collage materials, rubber stamps and wild ideas-- in this class, anything goes!

Supplies needed:

  • Acrylic paint
  • bone folder
  • Colored pencils/ markers/ chalks
  • Decorative or handmade papers
  • Deli container for water
  • Foam core
  • Glue and paint brushes
  • Matte gel medium
  • Rubber stamps/ ink pads
  • Ruler
  • Sand paper
  • Scissors
  • Triangle
  • Xacto knife/ utility knife/ cutting mat
Collage/ assemblage materials:

Xerox copies, magazine pictures, wire, wood scraps, matchboxes, personal memorabilia, old letters, postcards, photos, antique book pages, maps, stamps, rubber stamps, small doll parts, fabric, beads, keys, buttons, coins, eyeglasses, magnifying glasses, lenses, game pieces, playing cards, bones, feathers, leaves, teeth, fossils, dried flowers, screws, nails, washers, etc.
