In this exciting and whimsical 3 hour class, you'll create hilarious puppets from your family photos in a new twist on the Victorian cone puppet! Amaze your friends and neighbors with the incredible moving action of the puppet! (see photo). Inspired by Claudine's new Poppet™ collages -- now brought to life with your own photos!
Supply List:
Please bring a few color copies of family photos or antique images that you would like to use as your puppet "head." These should be good head shots, any size, remember the size of the head will determine the size of your puppet. My puppet heads are usually about 2 inches tall. If you can copy your heads onto cardstock great! If not we'll mount them to reinforce them. Some copy shops won't let you color copy onto card stock anymore.
Your favorite glue. I like to use Golden's Regular Gel Matte, but glue stick will work too!
Collage papers, scrapbook papers or other cardstock to create the "body parts". Please bring a few sheets (at least 4) of white cardstock to create the mouth parts and to mount your color copies to reinforce them.
Markers to color in the mouth and other things too!
Xacto knife or scissors
You might also want to bring items to further enhance your puppet: beads, fringe etc, it's up to you! This list is not set in stone. Please bring as many of the required items as you can -- it will make the workshop much more enjoyable for you.
