This fast and fun workshop introduces you to a simple method of adding genuine gold to your jewelry repertoire using the ancient Korean technique known as Keum Boo. We'll shape and form patterned sterling silver sheet into earring shapes, then learn how to depletion gild it to create the perfect fine silver surface. Then we'll layer on pure 24k gold foil to add the lustre and warmth of real gold to our creations. Best of all, this technique requires only simple, inexpensive equipment and a little elbow grease to get started - and you'll leave with two completed pairs of earrings. You won't want to miss this elegant, out-of-the-box fun! Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):
