Lots of us have goals, intentions and positive objectives rolling around in our heads. As a physical declaration and reminder for daily living, I've created my boho styled Affirmations Necklace. It's a statement from the soul, affirming your personal words of importance. All the sterling elements on this piece are made from silver scrap! In this class, I'll show you how to create reticulated "coins" from your scrap silver. You'll embellish your coin talismans with your own, special words of power and truth. You'll make a silver arrow clasp to represent your intention to aim true. Your arrow will be completed with a cairn of beads, to memorialize and mark your affirmations. Every element on this necklace will be fabricated...by you! Starting with scraps you'll anneal, shape, file and texture. I'll show you how to create and reticulate your coins and jump rings, both large and small. You'll use metal stamps to make affirmation tags and use silver solder, pickle and patina. As time permits, you'll compose your necklace into a meaningful string of unique and personal amulets to be worn as an everyday reminder to stay the course. As a versatile bonus, this necklace can be worn long or doubled.
