Create a small, wearable work of art that tells "your story". You'll use copper wire to create the framework to showcase your individual treasures. You'll also learn to craft a "Story Capsule" to use in your design. You'll add your choice of charms, beads and embellishments to make this necklace your own unique assemblage.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • Vintage Rayon Ribbon
  • Class Handouts

Student should bring:

  • 22 and 24 Gauge Para-Wire (By Vintaj, available in local craft stores)
  • Metal or Kitchen Shears (I prefer Joyce Chen Kitchen Shears and will have them for sale in class, at my cost.)
  • Metal Jewelry Files (flat, round and half-round)
  • Flush Cutters
  • Pliers: Chain-Nose, Flat-Nose & Round-Nose
  • Metal Hole Punch Pliers, 1.8mm
  • Ball Peen Hammer
  • Steel Bench Block, with Towel or Rubber Block for Noise Reduction
  • Center Punch (I will have them available for sale in class, at my cost.)
  • Scissors and Ruler
  • Beads and Charms for Embellishment
  • Battery Operated Work Light (suggested)
