We're going to extremes with this abstract collage workshop. First, we'll make several of our collage elements, such as combusted origami foil, Tyvek, and sculpted clay accents. We'll add voluminous texture to our substrates using modeling compound. Carol will discuss the importance of color, composition, texture and tonal values in making eye-stopping abstracts.

All our substrates will be extreme - no squares or simple rectangles. Carol will supply two substrates per student with a minimum ratio of 4:1 (height:width). Learn the ONE ELEMENT you can add to your abstract work that will vastly increase its appeal to your collectors. Expect to complete two paintings in this intense workshop.
