This is a one day workshop. In this class I will be teaching a face painting class using vintage ledger papers and 8" x 10" canvas boards. I will have face templates to use if you don't feel comfortable drawing but feel free to draw your own faces. I will show you how to paint, gesso and print on vintage papers to use as collage elements. I will have a couple of gelli plates for printing on the vintage papers. If you have a gelli plate you could bring it, but if not you can use mine. I will also show you how to prep the vintage papers to paint faces.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

• $10.00 includes:
• 4 large vintage ledger papers
• venetian plaster
• acrylic retarder

Student should bring:

• Lace and some fabric pieces (vintage if possible). Just a few pieces
• acrylics_quin. Nickel azo gold, quin. Crimson, paynes gray, ultramarine blue, titanium white ( I prefer open acrylics but not necessary except for the titanium white.
• Brushes - 1/4" angular brush (soft taklon) brand Princeton Select, Bristles brushes-filberts size 4,6,8, #1 pointed watercolor brush for details
• fluid matte medium
• gesso
• Pencils and charcoal pencils (2b, 4b, 6b)
• gelli plates(don't go out and purchase but if you have one bring it)
• 8" x 10" canvas boards (2)
