Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of hand-stitching

Join me in creating this 8" multi-dimensional stuffed fabric heart that you paint, stitch, stuff and collage for a fun and quirky decorative item that can be hung on wall, doorknob, etc. You will learn some basic collage techniques and painting ideas or expand on your current repertoire.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

• $10.00 includes:
• several heart-shaped patterns
• several pieces of muslin
• collage materials
• Pearle cotton in black
• wire
• dyed ribbon

Instructor Provided (for use in-class, and to share):

• extras of all tools, fabrics, collage materials, wire, ribbon, needle and threads, stuffing, paper, pencils, paint brushes, red and black paint, pliers, awls, water-soluble marking pencil, Modge-Podge.

Student should bring:

• Sewing scissors
• tool for stuffing (chop sticks, knitting needle or professional stuffing tool)

Optional:

• alternative images for collage
• alternative acrylic paint colors other than red and black.
