Students will create their own parts and pieces for a sample necklace. Students will use a variety of patinas and cold connections to create a unique and personal necklace, using copper, brass and silver sheeting. Students are encouraged to bring their budding ideas, and discover the endless options for assembling and connecting. Torch fire enameling, patinas, texturing, basic wire and metal applications will also be covered. Many torching techniques using enameling will be covered, such as resists, sifting, and embedding items. Colored pencils, patinas, embossing and more will all be used to create interesting surfaces.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • $52.00 - All Materials provided for the project in class

Student should bring:

  • Hammer
  • Bench block
  • Texturing hammers if desired
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Metal scissors or snips
  • Wire cutters
