By day's end students will be knowledgeable in skills involving correct paper tearing, signature-making as well as master the double coptic stitch. We will decorate the inside covers in collage and even learn how to adorn the spine with beads and brilliant ephemera. With our new book finished we begin to fill it with a lesson on strengthening your artist's eye, as well as how to have a little fun with watercolors (time permitting). Skills learned in this collaborative workshop will open the door to a lifetime of your own handmade personal journals.

We learn the double coptic stitch, signature construction and make a beautiful, watercolor paper filled, working journal with a reproduction of one of the famous OZ book covers. If time permits we will even begin to fill it with a few drawing techniques
