Drawing is seeing without knowing. We have all of these symbols stuck in our heads for shapes but it's not what we see in front of us. Break away from that brain stuff and learn how to see in a new way - a mindful, observational way. Connect the lines with confidence and leave those doubts behind! We'll play with pens, pencils and pastels and draw fun small objects that I'll bring to class. Learn all about those art-speak terms like values, color theory, intensity, contour, and negative space. Now is the time to reach out for that pencil and draw the lines!

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • $5.00 includes:
  • pens
  • pastel sticks

Instructor Provided (for use in-class, and to share):

  • visual aids and other tools to use while we work

Student should bring:

  • 9" x 12" Strathmore mixed media visual journal
  • #2b or 3B pencil
  • battery operated eraser
  • small white plastic eraser
  • about 5 paper towels and white tissues
