SPICULUM: Noun= Small hollow pointed form (Very useful in jewelry making).

This is a two day adventure in anticlastic metal forming; you will be building on skills learned along the way. Projects will be an adjustable anticlastic formed ring and formed spiral earrings, with a spiral necklace demo for those who want more. Second day starts with a pair of open ended spiculum earrings or closed spiculum drop earrings, moving on to a free-form textured pendant with or without a soldered seam, or, if you choose to finish with a hollow torque neck element or to finish up any of our previous projects. Anticlastic forming requires several different hammers and wood forms. We will discuss what tools and stakes you can make and what you can do without in the beginning.

Brass and copper sheet and silver bi-metal will be provided, but feel free to work in silver if you are comfortable with the challenge. Contact instructor for required size/ gauges for silver.
